The great Indian epics Mahabharata and Ramayana are as familiar to every man, woman and child in Bali as the Bible formerly was to us; familiar through recitation and through their pictorial and dramatic art. As a like familiarity cannot be taken for granted in Europe we will give in very brief outline the main events of the Ramayana which are dramatized in the Wajang Wong.
